2010 ST3: first NEA discovered by Pan-STARRS 1
T37617 is the temporary designation for the new possible near Earth object that appears in the MPC NEO Confirmation Page.
It was discovered at 11:41 UT on 16 Sept. by Pan-STARRS 1. The discovery was confirmed by ARI and the Spacewatch 1.8m telescope.
The following is a stacked image composed by 98 images obtained with the 0.81m ARI telescope on 05:00 UT Sept. 18, its apparent motion was 1.07"/min in PA 151°. T37617 is the faint object (predicted magnitude 22.3) that appears in the center of the red circle:
On 21:58 UT Sept. 18 the MPEC 2010-S20 : 2010 ST3 was issued.
2010 ST3 is a small Amor NEA asteroid with an estimated diameter of about 32m, click here to see its orbit.
